🐾 Food Donation Guidelines at Berry Springs Farmstay

We deeply appreciate the generosity of our caretakers and supporters who help provide food for our animals. To protect their health and well-being, please follow these important guidelines when donating food.

✅ Accepted Food Items

• Commercially produced animal food, treats, and supplements suitable for the species on our property.

• Fresh fruits and vegetables are welcome if they are unopened, clean, and within their expiration date.

🌿 Preferred Food Types

• High-quality, nutritionally balanced diets that match each animal’s needs.

• Please consider species-specific diets and known preferences before donating.

🚫 Prohibited Items

• Homemade or home-prepared foods (for safety and contamination reasons).

• Food with artificial preservatives, additives, or harmful ingredients.

• Never feed any animal without the owner’s permission.

📦 Packaging and Labeling

• Food must remain in its original, sealed packaging and include the product name, brand, and expiry date.

• If repackaging is needed, use clean, airtight containers and label clearly.

⚠️ Allergen Information

• Please list any common allergens such as wheat, soy, dairy, or nuts to help ensure the animals’ safety.

📏 Quantity Considerations

• We appreciate all donations, but please be mindful of our storage capacity and needs before bringing large quantities.

🕓 Donation Drop-Off

• Donations can be left at the designated donation area during open hours or by appointment.

• Please notify the caretaker or owner if you plan a large delivery or require special arrangements.

• Monetary contributions toward purchasing animal food or supplies are always appreciated and help us provide consistent care.

🐐 Tax Deductibility

We foster some rescue animals for Act & Care, a registered nonprofit organization.
Donations may be tax-deductible — please consult your tax advisor for confirmation.
