🐾 Animals & Respect for Wildlife

At Berry Springs, animals are part of our family — many are rescues that rely on calm, gentle, and respectful care.
This Code of Conduct outlines how to live and interact safely with our animals, pets, and surrounding wildlife. 🌿

🐐 Our Animal Residents

You’ll meet friendly donkeys, goats, ducks, chickens, geese, and peacocks — each with their own personality and needs.
Please treat every animal with patience, calmness, and kindness at all times.

🚫 Feeding & Food Scraps

  • Do not feed or handle animals unless you’ve been shown how and given approval by the owner.

  • All leftovers, fruit, and vegetable scraps must go into the designated feed bin only.

  • Many foods safe for humans can be toxic or dangerous for animals.

  • Always ask the owner before offering any food.

🧹 Clean Environment & Rubbish Safety

  • General rubbish bins are not accessible to animals.

  • All rubbish, tools, and materials must be stored safely and removed immediately after use.

  • Never leave items lying around — animals may chew or ingest them, which can be fatal.

  • Keep feed areas and yards tidy and free of waste at all times.

🚪 Protecting Indoor & Shared Spaces

  • Always close washing machine doors, toilet lids, and bathroom doors after use.
🐸 This helps prevent frogs, snakes, and insects from entering — common in the tropics.

  • Keep entry doors and screen doors closed to maintain hygiene and prevent wildlife from wandering indoors.

🐕 Pets (If Approved)

  • Pets must remain in your dedicated area only at all times.

  • Pets must be on a leash at all times when outside their enclosure or run.

  • Pets are not permitted in shared areas, animal enclosures, or the pool area.

  • Owners are fully responsible for supervising and managing their pets at all times.

⚠️ Liability Notice:
The property owner does not take responsibility for injury, illness, or loss of any pet caused by other animals, wildlife, fencing, terrain, environment or any other factors.

💚 Handling & Daily Care

  • Move slowly and speak quietly near animals — loud voices and sudden movements can frighten them.

  • Always close gates and enclosure doors securely after entering or leaving.

  • Follow all written care sheets carefully, and ask before acting if unsure.

⚠️ Reporting & Safety

Please report immediately if you notice:

  • Injured or sick animals 🩺

  • Broken fences or damaged enclosures 🛠️

  • Missing or distressed animals 🐐

🌏 Respect for Wildlife

Berry Springs is home to native wildlife — please observe quietly and never feed wild animals.

  • Keep food and rubbish sealed to avoid attracting snakes, dingoes, or large birds.

  • Dogs (if approved) must remain under control at all times.

🌿 Shared Responsibility

Caring for animals and protecting nature is a shared responsibility.
Your awareness, respect, and care help ensure that all creatures — domestic and wild — can live safely alongside us. 💚
